In which I finally update!
Hello, world!
I've finally remembered my login to this website, and I'm currently futzing with Neocities to make a functional website to put all of my interests in one fun hub! It's a lot of fun, but also a lot of stress, because I am not a programmer.
I spent most of today watching YouTube videos, petting my cat, and crocheting a few things. I'm making a hexagon granny cardigan for a good friend out of this really pretty yarn (Big Twist Value Ombre - Sunrise colorway) and it looks SO cute! I only finished probably about 1/6 of it with one skein, so I might be in trouble. Michael's doesn't have any more in stock because I may have purchased their entire stock (all 3 skeins, lol) so I may have to pace myself on this guy. I also brought my own cardigan that I absolutely adore (same pattern, but in Caron's Cinnamon Swirl yarn - Twilight Surf colorway) but my friend didn't have time to try it and see what changes they might want for their own cardigan, like length of the sleeves or how long the bottom of the cardigan is. We'll get there when we get there, I reckon!
I've also been working on a monster of a blanket for my cat, since he seems to love the material (Caron's Cotton Cakes and Painterly Cotton Cakes, will update with the colorways) (I swear I'm not sponsored, I just really like leaving a paper trail of all the yarn that I use so I can remember what I used and have a reference) (but like,,, if a company wants to pay me for using their yarn,,, my inbox is open, lol). So far, I'm about 2.5 skeins in, and it's already quite the beast! It covers half my bed, but I have about 7 skeins in the wings waiting to be used, because the larger a project gets, the more yarn it takes to make a round, and boy these rounds take forever now already. I'm already excited to be done with it. I make sure to spread it out on the bed every time I lay down to sleep, because my cat always joins me at night (and also to beg for treats), and like clockwork he also lays down right on the blanket. Makes my heart really happy that he likes it already!!
I'm getting a little tired, and honestly I have a lot of work to do on my website tomorrow, so I'll stop here. I wish I could attach pictures, but I think that's an upgrade feature? I'll think about it. I'm not a fan of subscriptions, but it's worth it I think. Maybe. I'll also link my other things tomorrow, it would be easier if my Carrd was up to date but I can't even settle on a layout...so much to do...I almost wish I had help, but alas, I am stubborn and probably wouldn't allow the help to actually help anyway lmao.
